Hence the “very finely carved” Burma exhibition house was acquired by Schweppes; “the interior re-conditioned as a Tudor Village where their refreshing mineral waters and cordials may be sampled under idyllic condition”. Even such entrepreneurial ideas were not enough to create profits and the Exhibition closed for good on 31 October 1935, having been regarded as “the world’s biggest outdoor failure.”Artist signed (Charles E Flowers) Tuck postcard, unused, very good condition.
